Phenomewrong (February 2021)

University of San Diego

This spring I worked with students at the University of San Diego to create short “plays” about environmental issues. “Plays” is in quotes because due to corona we have moved to the small screen. I created this as an example to share with the students.

Pride CoLAB (July 2020)

Old Globe Arts Engagement in collaboration with Diversionary Theatre and San Diego Pride

For Pride 2020, I was hired to write and perform a piece inspired by my non-binary gender identity. This is what I came up with. I named this character Max Boppins and I describe them as the queer baby of Mary Poppins and Jason Mraz.

Veronica Burgess Presents

I teamed up with Veronica Burgess and Andrew Steele to create the Truth Tellers! Telling real stories about real struggles in America today. A theatrical musical story-telling adventure with three teachers from Normal Town Junior High School. This terrific talented trio will dazzle and delight you with their musical musings and hilarious hi-jinks. San Diego I Love You #SwipeRight (March 2018)

Circle Circle dot dot

The script for this site-specific play was based on interviews with people who identify as bisexual and have extensive experience with online dating. Audiences could watch the story unfold through the perspective of a male version and/or a female version of the main character (Taylor). Boy Taylor and girl Taylor go on the same dates and yet their experiences differ due to their gender. The play unfolded in five local small businesses on the corner of Thorn and 32nd street in North Park. I wrote and developed this play in collaboration with a lot of very talented artists (Kristin McReddie, Crystal Brandan, Russell Brock, Jaleesa Johnson, Pete Felix, Katie Harroff, Veronica Burgess, Brandon Potter, Brittany Allen, Katie Hinckley, Dairrick Khalil Hodges and Juan Hernandez).
